To better protect and heal children from trauma and its emotional impact

All About Us

About CHP

Every day innocent children wake up to untenable circumstances. They may be the victims of traumatic circumstances. They may not be safe in their own homes. They may not be able to trust the people who should be their protectors. Every child deserves a safe and happy childhood, but many don’t have one. Based on a 2013 study of children across the United States, more than 40% of children are exposed to abuse and other forms of interpersonal violence. One in six girls and one in twenty boys are victims of sexual abuse prior to age 18. More than 10% of teenagers are injured each year by a caregiver during discipline.

Child HELP Partnership is dedicated to protecting children from trauma and its emotional impact so they heal and grow into strong and healthy adults. And we share our knowledge. Our dream is to change the cycle for children everywhere.

All evidence shows the positive impact will not stop there, but will carry forward to the next generation.

Our vision

All children suffering from trauma will have access to the most effective therapies and prevention programs.

Our mission

To better protect and heal children from trauma and its emotional impact.

Our commitment to excellence

Our continual research, refinement, and results guarantee that we’re always on the cutting edge. The children we treat with state-of-the-science techniques show a higher rate of recovery than those treated with other therapies. This has earned us a reputation as thought leaders and experts in the field who are often sought out to train other mental health professionals with our innovative techniques.

Our commitment to service

St. John’s University is a Vincentian institution, inspired by St. Vincent de Paul’s compassion and zeal for service. Our commitment is to provide excellent assistance and education, free to those lacking economic or social advantages. Wherever possible, we devote our intellectual and physical resources to the causes of poverty and social injustice.
