To better protect and heal children from trauma and its emotional impact

Our Trainings

Training for Students

Through the PARTNERS Clinic Externship, Clinical Supervision Classes offered by the Department of Psychology, and Child HELP Partnership research endeavors, we train graduate students in clinical, counseling and school psychology. Under our guidance, students gain an in-depth understanding of best practices in the child trauma field. And they learn to provide our evidence-based, clinical services and conduct innovative research as an integral part of their standard practice.

In addition to her course work, Dr. Brown regularly mentors undergraduate students, Master’s candidates, PhD candidates, and post-doctoral fellows, with the goal of developing more effective trauma scientist-practitioners across the entire profession.

What’s more: collaborating with junior colleagues and experts keeps everyone at the Child HELP Partnership asking questions – and staying sharp on the cutting edge of clinically meaningful research.
